Erin Butler, MBA, CRA

Biography

Erin is the Director of Research Training in the CGI Hub at the University of South Carolina. She previously spent ten years as a research administrator and has been a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) since 2018. She has extensive experience in developing budgets for proposals for external funding and has worked on everything from very small, private foundation proposals to complex, multi-million-dollar federal proposals. She has a passion for 'meeting PIs where they are' and enjoys engaging critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop a comprehensive and reasonable budget. Ultimately, she strives to make the budget development process less daunting for researchers.
