Biography

At the Arizona State University (ASU), Faye works under the direction of Dr. Panchanathan (Panch) Sethuraman, former director of the National Science Foundation, as he advances ASU as a leader in international higher education.

Prior to this position, she established an enterprise-wide practice within the University Design Institute, supporting the design of institutional initiatives including a new school and new college. In that role, she managed two leadership programs for faculty and staff. As a leader in research development, she founded ASU’s central office of Research Development. The office has been noted as a model for Research Development nationally. As executive director, she managed a team of 10 individuals, across four functional units. In 2014, she initiated a Proposal Development Workshop series attended by hundreds of investigators annually.

Under her direction, ASU's Research Development office annually submitted proposals worth between $500M and $800M total obligated funding to several US federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation, United States Agency for International Development, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the National Institutes of Health.

She is certified in proposal management practices and loves reading proposals. Faye is a former National Organization for Research Development Professionals board member (2019 - 2023). She is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Lesotho, 1999 - 1997), has a BS & MS in Plant Biology/Plant Science, and has a PhD in Business.
